In the summer time if your too hot, or in the winter if your too cold, you may be calling one of the new drivers to surface on the Crate Late model scene, Jamie Parker, of Talking Rock Ga. is the driver of the #73 Crate late model who will be racing at the local tracks this season, also does heating and air conditioning.
Jamie is a family man who loves his racing, and his wife of 15 years Angie is there to support him in his efforts.
After 10 years in the lower classes Jamie has stepped up to Crate’s last year and ran a few races. After watching him this past Saturday night at the opening of NGS he has a head start on most of them. Jamie was running with the “big dawgs “ most of the night equaling the times the Crate regulars were setting. Making his sponsor Complete Cash very proud to have put their support behind this up and coming driver.
When Jamie isn’t racing you will find him spending time with his wife and family, a religious man who loves racing and dreams of one day running the dirt of Eldora, where the “Dream 100” is held each year. But for right now, his favorite track is North Georgia Speedway.
When asked if he could drive for anyone in the world he says that Jack Roush would be the team, and since he admires Carl Edwards it stands to reason. Jamie also likes watching the “Tarheel Tiger” Ray Cook.
In his first season of Crate’s he says his main goal is to just be competitive, when asked if he has any superstitions he says if he gets on a winning streak he wears the same shirt, seems logical to me, and I see him wearing the same shirt a lot this year, this boy has the skills to pay the bills, he is level headed and doesn’t drive over his head.
His crew is made up of his wife Angie, Jamie(Homer) Micky and Justin all under the watchful eye of Crew chief Tommy Parker.
So when you venture out to the high banks of North Georgia Speedway this season watch out for the 73 of Jamie Parker, this is a man on a mission and one who will be seeing Victory Lane soon. Good luck to Jamie and his crew as they make their mark on the red clay oval’s this year.
Special note: Jamie was the driver who flipped this past Saturday night at NGS and he would like to thank all the fans for their prayers, he is fine, and hopes to have the 73 car back racing soon as possible.
